Originally a family home, Nambu was built on an old anthill overlooking the landscape. The architecture of this unique building truly makes the most of the spectacular views it has in front, perfectly framing this wilderness scenery.
Nambu’s spacious viewing platform overlooks a dry riverbed and waterhole where many of the bushveld’s inhabitants come to visit, from herd of elephants, towering giraffes, to the nocturnal and elusive predators. Spend the afternoons cooling down in the swimming pool, relaxing on the sun loungers or bird-watching around the camp's gardens.
Simple, yet modern and stylish cuisine is served in the stunning open dining area. A light and healthy breakfast is served after your morning activity, followed by a more hearty brunch later in the afternoon. Canapés are served at sundowners in the bush then head back to camp for a delicious and elegant evening meal under the stars.
Nambu Camp is located in the big five Olifants West Nature Reserve in the Greater Kruger, 16.2 km outside of Hoedspruit. The Eastgate Airport is a short 45-minute drive away, making it easily accessible for fly-in guests, while many might choose to self-drive from Johannesburg, which is a scenic 5-hour drive away.
Being located on a big five reserve, it means you are already in the heart of nature. The Olifants West Nature Reserve has an incredibly diverse landscape, from the flowing waters of the Olifant's River, the high and rocky outcrops, to natural springs and drainage lines, life can always be found here.
